You WISH you were this awesome! Or are you? If you don’t have the guts to join up then at least get yourself to a bout and check out these badass babes skate around the track jamming, blocking, and pivoting their way to points or penalties. But don’t fool yourselves, kids, these ladies may bash it up on the track, but they also have community initiatives that lead them to volunteer work and charities and all-around bigheartedness.

It seems like a short while ago there was no roller derby in Iowa, and then a second later there were a couple teams, and suddenly…look at them all! You know how they got here in the first place? A couple of local chicks thought it looked like fun. It’s such an inspiration to know that with some homework and effort, people with a passion can start something up in Iowa. It’s Manifest Destiny in action. It’s the American way. Doesn’t that make you want to gather up all your friends and support these groundbreaking Iowans? You’ll go once, and you’ll never be the same again!
