The Team

Meet the Live Action Sports Team

Live Action Sports wouldn’t be possible without these cool cats and their mad skills. Meet and greet the Live Action Sports Hero Staff:

Janet White

home team big mama

Janet started skydiving in 2005 and shortly thereafter assembled Live Action Sports and it’s Home Team.  A self-proclaimed ‘lazy athlete’, her goal is to encourage and support people to prevent life from escaping by overcoming the obstacles herself that stop most people from getting of the couch and finding their own action and adventure.  She has the best job in the world as she descends upon all of Iowa and encounters all the boss populace.  Janet is available for speaking engagements on various subjects including LAS’ place in the Grand Scheme of Things, how to action/adventure with little kids, and her life’s 100% change since her first skydive.  She is also a cheerleader for young entrepreneurs and school programs encouraging entrepreneurship and outdoor education.  Send some love her way at janet@liveactionsports.net.

Shawn White

home team photographer

Shawn WhiteShawn graduated from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 1993 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art/Photography.  He started rock climbing in 1994 and then skydiving 1996.  In 2006 he attained his life’s goal when he joined skydiving’s World Team (www.theworldteam.com) and became a part of the world’s largest formation skydive in Udon Thani, Thailand.  The world record can be seen in the Guiness Book of World Records 2007.  As a member of Home Team, Shawn’s job is to capture the awesomeness of Iowa and the antics of the rest of the team.  His photographs can be found in the gallery and almost all of them are for sale.  Just contact janet@liveactionsports.net if any catch your eye.

Isaac White

home team tour guide

Isaac White

Isaac joined Home Team (and the world) in 2006 and has been one of the biggest sources of inspiration behind the LAS endeavors.  Isaac is a part of approximately 95% of all ventures into Iowa’s action and adventure, only missing out on the last 5% due to being four years old.  Despite his early years, he has a habit of sneaking the video camera and conducting his own interviews.  He can name skydiving jump planes, knows caving etiquette, and appointed himself the team’s hiking ‘tour guide’.  But anyone that knows Isaac knows he’s most famous for his quotes.  Did you know a four year old could author a book?  Isaac’s will be out Christmas 2010.  If you want an interview with Isaac, give his mom a shout at janet@liveactionsports.net.

Piper White

home team songstress

Piper White

Piper joined Home Team (and the world) in 2008 and rivals Isaac in being the biggest source of inspiration behind LAS.  Other than that she comes with no credentials and no apparent set of skills save for one: anywhere Piper goes, any persons or creatures within shouting distance will hum the tune to the ABC’s song for the next three days.  Really her current position on the team is to look cute and talk loud.

Jamie Leon

makes it rain in the desert

Jamie’s life, aka The Magic Show, tends to find her in situations that involve amazing people doing amazing things so Jamie + LAS was a pretty natural fit and she joined up as Shameless Promoter.  Up until magically stumbling across LAS recently, her experiences have not been within the action/adventure cooliverse but she has already begun her education on the wild side.  Show her some love and share in her magic at Jamie@liveactionsports.net.
